Lavasoft RIP?

LavaSoft, creators of the once famous anti-spyware program,  Ad-Aware, was recently sold to a company called Solaria. See here.

Investigations into this company revealed that the people behind Solaria were also alleged to have sold online porn, reskinned peer-to-peer filesharing software, and allegedly 'skimmed' online sales, charging customers for software that they did not order. The new marketing director of LavaSoft was formerly the marketing director of UpClick, a company that has 'refocused its activities' and now offers 'eCommerce activities'.
In other words: forget about Ad-Aware. I don't trust them anymore. Neither should you.

I have yet to obtain verification of the anonymous comment left on my article at Surprisingly Little Information on Lavasoft Acquisition about the firing of employees and the move of programming from Sweden to Ukraine.
